A Best Day Ever Story
The magic show was in full swing, and I was performing for a little boy who was celebrating his fifth or sixth birthday. I don't remember the exact trick I was doing, but I'll never forget the boy himself.
He ran to his mother and whispered something in her ear, a secret I couldn't hear. Later, after the show was over and I had made balloon creations for all the kids, his mom came up to me. She told me what he had said.
With a heart full of joy and a face full of thanks, he had looked at her and declared, "Mom, this is the best day ever."
This story reminds me why I love my job. It’s what makes me smile and why I love to create the best day ever for a child's birthday.
